Rossini: La pietra del paragone

For the first time, Mezzopiano releases a historic recording of the performances of Rossini's La pietra del paragone at the Teatro Massimo Bellini di Catania in 1988, featuring a young 22-year-old Cecilia Bartoli in the leading role of Clarice. The sound quality of the original tapes was quite poor, and the performance was presented with numerous cuts in the score. However, considering the significance of this audio document, we present a remastered version that will allow you to enjoy the earliest known recording of the great Italian mezzo-soprano.
